Short Bytes: On Tuesday night, the alleged intimate pictures of female celebrities like Emma Watson and Amanda Seyfried were leaked on 4chan and Reddit. This leak has been termed as Fappening 2.0. At the moment it’s unknown how this hack took place, but it might have been possible by accessing the private iCloud and Gmail accounts of the celebrities.

Almost 3 years after 2014’s Fappening leaks, it looks like the Fappening 2.0 is here. The second leak of the same nature has affected high-profile celebrities like Emma Watson, Amanda Seyfried, Kylie Jenner, Marisa Tomei, and others.
These pictures were posted on online notorious forums like 4Chan and Reddit. So, it’s very difficult to take them down completely. While it’s unclear how this hack took place, the speculations suggest the stealing of intimate picture from private iCloud and Gmail accounts by gaining unlawful access.
One of the original 4Chan threads claim that in the next few days more such images will be leaked, and it’s just the “start of the Fappening 2.0.”
Most pictures of Emma Watson show her posing in various outfits and swimsuits in from of a mirror. There are also some pictures that allegedly show the actress filming herself naked in the bathtub.
A representative of Emma Watson has confirmed that some of the leaked pictures are legitimate. “Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen. They are not nude photographs. Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further,” according to BBC.
The alleged leaked pictures of Amanda Seyfried and Jillian Murray are more explicit. Seyfried’s lawyer has said that they will take “any and all appropriate steps to protect and enforce our client’s rights.”
