An unexpected message for drivers was displayed at the Caltrans sign in Corona this Christmas, which read:

“Inland Empire supports Donald Trump. Merry Xmas. Vote Donald Trump.”

In March 2013, a group of Serbian students penetrated into a billboard advertisement and defaced it with the logo of The Pirate Bay.

In September this year, someone defaced an electronic signboard in France with a vulgar poem.

In another incident, electronic street sign at San Francisco was hacked by someone just to display some NBA-oriented content on it.
