The phrase freedom and choice goes hand-in-hand when we talk about Linux. This open source operating system has a lot to offer to everybody. There are many distros to choose from. One such unique distro is Linux From Scratch, commonly known as LFS. It’s not so much of a distro as it’s a compilation of tutorials, guides, books, and instructions.

Moreover, Linux From Scratch is an educational adventure that follows the philosophy of building your system entirely on your own. Having said that, let me tell you about its latest release, LFS 8.0.

The Linux From Scratch community announced the release of LFS Version 8.0. Along with this release, the developers have also released LFS Version 8.0 (systemd), BLFS Version 8.0, and BLFS Version 8.0 (systemd).
