Google Pixel 4 Launched With Radar Chip And 90Hz Display

Leaving Pixel 3 behind, Google Pixel 4 is probably one of the most-leaked phones ever. Today, Google unveiled the device at its hardware event and it is exactly what we all expected.

Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL Unveiled

As we saw in the leaks, Google has redacted the big notch and released two Pixel devices — Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL with no notch and, just big bezels.

However, it’s no normal bezel. The top bezel of Google Pixel 4 embeds Google’s radar motion-sensing tech called Soli. The tech will enable users to perform some helpful air gestures such as changing tracks, silencing alarms, taking up phone calls and more.

That’s not all! The big bezels also include a face unlock system which works with great accuracy and speed, as we saw in the event.

Pixel 4 and 4XL feature OLED displays; however, this time Google Pixel 4 features a 90Hz refresh rate display, something we recently witnessed while reviewing the OnePlus 7T.

Oh! There is a new recorder app that can transcribe your words in real-time. The best part is that it doesn’t need internet to work. Now let’s move onto the camera.

Google Pixel 4 Camera

Another headline component of Google Pixel 4 is the camera. Going against its own standards, Google has decided to put up two cameras lens packed into an iPhone 11-like camera square module. The good old 16MP lens accompanied by a new 12MP telephoto lens.

Like with every Google Pixel device, Google is offering surprising camera features. One of them is the Dual Exposure Camera Controls to compose the perfect shot, regardless of lighting.

Other than that, there is a live HDR option that will help you compose the shot while using the Google iconic HDR+ in real-time.

Last but not least, astrophotography mode to get well-exposed pictures of the stars. There is also a motion mode that will help people take better action shots.

Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL price

The Pixel 4 device will start at $799 the same as the last year’s price. The devices will arrive in three different colors — Just Black, Clearly White, and Oh So Orange.

Out of the box, you will get 3 months of 100GB on Google One and of course, devices updated to Android 10 with 3 years of software support.

The story is developing…
