Hacking News: ISIS Twitter Accounts Hacked By Anonymous, ISIS Hacker Faces 25 Years In Prison

An Anonymous-affiliated hacker has painted numerous ISIS Twitter accounts with gay pride messages and pictures in support of the Orlando shooting victims. On the other hand, a 21-year-old hacker has pleaded guilty to helping ISIS and he is scheduled to get a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.

In response to the recent Orlando mass shooting, the hacktivist group Anonymous has hacked multiple Twitter accounts of Islamic State.

The hacked ISIS Twitter accounts have been covered with gay pride messages. You might be already aware of the ongoing internet battle between ISIS and Anonymous. Thus, the hacking group’s response to the Orlando shootings was long awaited.

The recent hacks have been carried out by an Anonymous-affiliated hacker named “WauchulaGhost“, who recently decided to paint ISIS accounts with pro-LGBT messages.

ISIS hacker faces 25 years in prison for providing over 1,300 US officials’ records to terrorists

In another hacking news related to ISIS, a 21-year-old hacker named Ardit Ferizi has admitted to hacking a server and supplying the information of the US personnel to ISIS.

The hacker went by the Twitter handle Th3Dir3ctorY and used it to share a 30-page document with a tweet that said: “NEW: U.S. Military AND Government HACKED by the Islamic State Hacking Division!”

He was arrested by the Malaysian police in last October and he pleaded guilty in a Virginia court this Wednesday.

Ferizi is scheduled to be sentenced on September 6 with a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.
