2019 iPhones Likely To Include Three Rear Cameras And USB-C Port

The start of 2019 has led to the beginning of Apple’s 2019 iPhone rumor thread. And taking this forward, the new rumor has something to say about the possible camera capabilities of the smartphones.

According to a report by The Bloomberg, 2019 will also see three iPhone models (successors to the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR), much like the previous year. The high-end model among the three (successor to the iPhone XS Max) is expected to house a triple-camera module at the back.

An additional third camera will ensure more zooming capabilities along with a broader wide-angle view. It is expected to capture more pixels and tweak videos and photos to add the subjects that were previously missed while clicking pictures.

Apple’s Live Photos feature could be improved, increasing the video length from three to six seconds.

Additionally, the other two 2019 iPhone models are expected to see some upgrades as well, with upgraded processors, enhanced Face ID and more, while keeping the same design aesthetics as their predecessors.

In addition to this, Apple has some plans for its 2020 iPhones as well! As another step in Apple’s AR venture, it is expected to introduce the 3D rear camera sensors for the 2020 iPhone iteration and new iPads which will be based on laser technology instead of the dot-projection tech, seen in the iPhone X.

The laser-based 3D sensors are likely to capture more depth and accurate placement of virtual objects, extending up to 15 feet, much more than the current 25-50 cms capability of the 3D camera found in the present iPhones.

The report further suggests that Apple is in talks with Sony for the new camera sensors.

Furthermore, Apple is speculated to replace its Lightning port with USB Type-C ones as it is testing the existing iPhones for the same.

However, we lack concrete details at the time of writing, therefore, we expect you to take the information with a grain of salt.

Apple will launch its 2019 smartphones in the month of September like every year. Until then, keep visiting us for more such information!
