At the current MWC 2019 tradeshow, Google has announced a couple of new features for its Assistant to enhance its working.
Starting with the first new feature, Google Assistant will now have a dedicated button on smartphones which includes the LG G8 ThinQ, the Nokia 4.2, the Nokia 3.2, and more future smartphones, for easy accessibility to the virtual assistant.
Google Assistant is further expanding to various other Google apps such as Google Messages for easy conversations with the inclusion of message suggestions, and Google Maps in all Assistant-supported languages.
Google Assistant on its KaiOS-run smartphones will soon start supporting voice typing for the ease of sending messages on feature phones.
Additionally, Google Assistant now supports seven new Indian languages such as Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam and Urdu, along with support for new languages (Korean, Hindi, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Dutch) in Google Assistant’s bilingual mode.
To recall, the feature allows users to switch between two languages simultaneously, with existing languages being English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese and Italian.
Furthermore, Google is extending its Digital Wellbeing to non-Pixel smartphones, starting with the Motorola Moto G7 series with more smartphones to soon get it.
