Google ‘Coral’ With Android Q, Snapdragon 855, 6GB RAM Visits Geekbench

An unknown device by Google, codenamed ‘Google Coral’, has been found listed on Geekbench, hinting at a possible entry of a new device by Google.

According to the listing, the Google Coral could run the unannounced next-generation OS, dubbed Android Q for which we have seen a handful of rumors lately. The device appears to be the first one which includes the future Android Q in its listing.

The device is expected to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with eight cores.

Just as a reminder, Android Q will get official at Google’s I/O event in May this year, and will be available to all, starting the second half of 2019.

The device in the listing has acquired a single-core score of 3296 and a multi-core score of 9235. Additionally, the device is likely to come with 6GB of RAM.

While we still don’t know what device the listing is hinting at, it could either be a new Google Pixel smartphone or another Chromebook (the motherboard named “Coral” found in the listing is similar to the usual motherboard names of Chromebooks).

As we lack concrete information at the moment, the aforementioned details need to be taken with a grain of salt.

So, stay tuned with Fossbytes for more such information and updates.
