It seems like 2019 will be the year of foldable! Following Samsung’s introduction of its first foldable smartphone (and various other companies rumored to join the gang), Google is another company trying to step into the foldable territory.
According to a recent tweet by a Twitter handle ‘@TechNavvi,’ Google’s rumored foldable smartphone is in works.
While we don’t have anything concrete backing the information, Google’s recent Android support for foldable smartphones suggests that the making of a Google foldable smartphone could be a possibility.

For those who don’t know, Google was recently granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), which gives us an inkling of a probable foldable smartphone with hinges.
Additionally, the patent hints at two displays for the alleged foldable smartphone Google could launch.
To recall, after Samsung and FlexPai unveiled their foldable smartphones to the world, companies such as LG, OPPO, and even Microsoft are rumored to hop onto the foldable bandwagon and launch their foldable devices.
While OPPO’s and LG’s rumored foldable smartphones are expected to hit the stage during MWC 2019 in February, Microsoft’s foldable innovation could be launched in late 2019.
However, just to clear the mist, we still don’t have any solid information and can’t consider the information mentioned above as an official one.
Whether or not Google plans to enter the foldable arena in addition to its high-end Pixel series, only time will tell. We will keep you updated on further information. So, stay tuned!
