Guy Transforms Windows XP Into A Bitcoin Blockchain Machine

Windows XP might have gone a long time ago, but every now and then we get to see glimpses of the good old operating system. In the latest one, a developer has managed to run Windows XP on a Bitcoin SV blockchain and put it on the internet as a website.

You can play around with the familiar user interface where you can move windows just like you can do an actual computer. Also, you can write something on the Notepad, play songs in Winamp, play Minesweeper, scribble on Paint. When I tried to open the ‘Run’ utility, it gave an ‘application not found’ error.

Reported by CoinDesk, this is still a limited version of XP and many programs won’t let you get past the first screen. For example, you can keep clicking on the C drive in the file explorer and nothing will happen.

It’s not the first time that someone has emulated Windows XP on the web. This one shows the ability of Bitcoin SV that it can be used to handle much larger blocks than other blockchains, including Bitcoin forks Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Cash.

Bitcoin SV (Satoshi’s Vision) is blockchain created from Bitcoin Cash which itself is a hard fork of Bitcoin. Ever since its inception, Bitcoin SV has remained among the top 20 crypto coins. This also shows that blockchain has way more use cases than fueling cryptocurrencies.
