Honor Magic 2 3D With ‘3D Light Scanner’ To Launch On March 7

Honor has been teasing a 3D variant of its Magic 2 smartphone, called the Honor Magic 2 3D for which we now have an official launch date.

According to a post on micro-blogging site Weibo, the Honor Magic 2 3D will launch on March 7 in China.

Honor’s 3D smartphone will come with a 3D light scanner in addition to the 3D front bionic sensor and 3D deep lens for improved 3D facial recognition even in the dark.

The new Magic 2 will retain the slider design, seen in the original Magic 2 smartphone. Three front cameras (16MP each) pop up when the slider is pushed.

While the Honor Magic 2 3D will share most of the specs with the Magic 2, it will arrive with increased RAM/ROM options and a higher price tag.

For those who have forgotten, the Honor Magic 2 has a 6.39-inch AMOLED FullView display and is powered by a Kirin 980 processor. It comes in two RAM/ROM options: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.

Another highlight is the camera department. It has a triple rear camera setup, configured at 16MP, 24MP, and 16MP.

Additionally, the smartphone has a 3,400mAh battery and an under-the display fingerprint scanner.

Stay tuned with Fossbytes until March 7 for further details.
