ISIS Leakes Military Data Against ‘Anonymous ISIS Troll Day’

ShortRead: Anonymous trolled the ISIS terrorists a couple of days ago but rather than replying to the hacktivists, the group leaked personal data and claimed that it belongs to military officials in France and US.

ISIS in response to Anonymous trolling day on 11th December has leaked personal information of 160 alleged military personnel from France and U.S. The details included full names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails.

This information was leaked by an Islamic Cyber Army affiliated with ISIS who in an earlier statement called anonymous “idiots” in relation to their idea of organizing the trolling day. Another reason for leaking data can be the recent hacking of ISIS’s official website by Anonymous in which the group defaced the site with a viagra advert.

What is the information about?

According to the Maryland-based SITE Intelligence Group, the leaked information was revealed on several social media accounts that are run by the terrorist group known as the Cyber Caliphate.

Furthermore, the cyber army claims to have information about 700 more military personnel which they haven’t revealed yet.

Part on ongoing war

These attacks are the part of the ongoing war between the Anonymous and ISIS. Anonymous after the November attacks had declared war against the ISIS and took down many social media accounts and forums in relation to the terror group.

Donald Trump’s attack part of war

Lately, Anonymous attack the republican presidential candidate “Donald Trump” whose statements they found to be helping ISIS in gaining more members and support.

“Donald Trump, it has come to our attention that you want to ban all Muslims from entering the United States. This policy is going to have a huge impact,” an Anonymous member said in a video posted on YouTube earlier this week.

“This is what Isis wants. The more Muslims feel sad, the more Isis feels they can recruit them.

“The more the United States appears to be targeting Muslims, not just radical Muslims you can be sure Isis will be putting that on their social media campaign

So, far there are no comments from U.S. Department of Defense or French Ministry of Defense regarding these leaks.

Previous data leaks from ISIS:

In March 2015, the terrorist group leaked a “Hacked Hit List” of 100 United States military personnel and urged its supporters to find and kill each and every official mentioned in the list.

In August 2015, the group leaked personal information of hundreds of government and military personnel from hacked U.S. government servers. The leaked data first appeared on the Twitter handle of “Islamic State Hacking Division [sic].”
