Musk’s Next Hyperloop Competition Will Finally Happen In A Tunnel

As Elon Musk is all about ideas and new inventions, the most recent idea he has is to hold SpaceX’s yearly Hyperloop Pod competition in a tunnel.

Announced via a tweet, Musk has suggested that next year’s competition will take place in a tunnel with a 10km vacuum and it will be curved to improve the difficulty level.

Here’s a look at the tweet from Elon Musk:

For those who don’t know, the Hyperloop competition by Musk’s SpaceX is a student engineering competition. Started back in 2015, various students and even non-students participate to showcase their transportation inventions based on the Hyperloop concept.

The Hyperloop concept, by SpaceX, is about transporting things or humans with the use of pods based on the vactrain concept running inside a vacuum tunnel.

While there is no word on how the whole thing will fall into place, it seems like Musk is all determined to make this happen.

In addition to this, Musk announced another possible competition organized by him during the recently-held Hyperloop Pod competition. After putting in thoughts, Musk suggested that his Boring Company could soon hold a tunneling competition.

As Musk seems quite ambitious about the various ideas in his head, we will have to see how and when the ideas see the light of the day.

Until then, stay tuned to Fossbytes for more information.
