Spotify Will Block Your Account If You Use Ad Blockers

Popular music-streaming platform Spotify has updated its terms and conditions policy, and as part of it, it will block users’ accounts if a user is found using ad blockers.

According to Spotify terms and conditions, under the User Guidelines, if users are involved in blocking the adverts that appear on Spotify with the use of ad blockers, Spotify will terminate or suspend the users’ Spotify accounts.

Spotify account users who are using ad blockers and are flagged by the music-streaming platform are expected to be disabled by March 1, 2019.

The disabling of Spotify accounts on the usage of ad blockers is not applicable to the premium Spotify accounts and only for the free users as Spotify doesn’t display ads for the paid users.

The condition reads, “circumventing or blocking advertisements in the Spotify Service, or creating or distributing tools designed to block advertisements in the Spotify Service,” could lead to blocking of your account.

So if you are using ad blockers you might want to consider upgrading to the premium account or not using them at all.
