Companies introduce features for benefitting users, but sometimes such features could be exploited by using them for unintended purposes. Same happened with iOS 12’s Live Listen feature.
Live Listen feature was intended for hearing impaired as the Apple’s official website states: “With Live Listen, your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can act like a microphone that sends sound to your AirPods. Live Listen can help you hear a conversation in a noisy area or even hear someone speaking across the room.”
However, a Twitter user discovered that the feature could be exploited for snooping on conversations.

We tested the feature, and it works with any Bluetooth headset, and you don’t need AirPods as opposed to what the tweet says.
How to use iOS 12 Live Listen feature?
You can add this feature in the Control Centre by going to Settings> Control Centre> Customise Controls> Add Hearing. Next, you need to connect a Bluetooth headset and turn on the Live Listen feature from the Control Centre; now you can spy with your iPhone.
