WhatsApp Will Soon Let You Reject Those Annoying Group Invites

We have all been added to groups on WhatsApp which are either ridiculously weird or annoying and muting them did not really help. Now, it seems like the Facebook-owned messaging app could add a solution to this.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is soon to add a new feature called the Group Invitation feature which will allow users to choose who can add them to a particular group.

The new feature will be situated in the Privacy section under the Account section by heading to the Settings Menu, and users will be able to choose from three options (Everyone, Contacts, and Nobody), much like the options for Last Seen, Profile Photo, and the About options.

It is further suggested that if users opt for the Nobody option, they will get a notification for the group invite which can be accepted or rejected within 72 hours.

As a reminder, the feature is currently being tested for the iOS version of WhatsApp and will eventually arrive on the Android version.

However, there is no word on its availability and whether or not it is made official.
