A lot of interesting information is coming through the ongoing Xiaomi Developers Conference in Beijing. A few hours ago, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun announced the launch timeline of Redmi K30. He also detailed Xiaomi’s plans to bring 5G support on its smartphones.

However, that’s not all! The Chinese tech giant has finally unveiled the 100W fast charging technology that would arrive with the upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphones.

100W ‘Super Charge Turbo’ Tech

At the conference, Xiaomi also showed a demo video where a Xiaomi device with 4000 mAh battery is being charged using the 100W turbocharging technology dubbed “Super Charge Turbo.” The company claims that it would only take 17 minutes to charge a 4000 mAh battery.

Moreover, Xiaomi flagship phones such as Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 7, Redmi K20, Mi Note 10 would be juiced up within 20 minutes.

Talking about the new technology, the company said that 100W supercharge turbo would be coupled with a high-voltage charge pump with 9-fold charge protection.

Xiaomi didn’t mention which upcoming smartphones will receive the 100W charge technology. But we believe that Redmi K30 could be a start, followed by Mi Mix 4 and other MI smartphones following the suit later on.
