Xiaomi’s Mint Browser Brings Great Performance At Low Storage And RAM Usage

In case you’re looking for a Chrome alternative to use on your Android device, we’ve got you covered with our list of the best Android web browsers. Moreover, it looks like Xiaomi is looking to impress us in late 2018 with its newly launched Mint Browser.

What sets Mint Browser apart is its low storage and RAM requirements. The download size of the app is just 11MB, which is a lot less when compared to the likes of third-party apps like Opera and Microsoft Edge.

You can follow this link (Via: Android Police) to download the web browser. For some reason, I was unable to search and find Mint Browser directly in the Play Store. Make sure to confirm that the developer of the app you download is Xiaomi as Play Store is full of imposters.

After downloading and installing it, you’ll instantly recognize the MIUI feel all across the app. There’s a search/URL bar at the top with Google as the default search engine. At the bottom, there’s a blue mic option that lets you perform voice search with the help of Google.

For better accessibility, Xiaomi has put the back-forward, home, tab, and menu buttons at the bottom. What really sets this browser apart is the fact that with the touch of a button, you can activate dark mode for a better browsing experience at night.

The other regular features include tabbed browsing, incognito mode, data saver, etc.

My first impression of Xiaomi’s Mint Browser has been positive and it remains to be seen if the company manages to refrain itself from filling the browser with ads.
