Tim Cook: Apple’s Greatest Contribution To Mankind Will Be “About Health”

Apple CEO Tim Cook shed some light on Apple strategies for the year 2019 and beyond in an interview with CNBC’s Jim Cramer.

In the “Mad Money” interview, Tim Cook said that the company would be focusing on bringing new services this year. Cook’s words become even more relevant in the wake of Apple’s recent surge in the sales of Apple Watch.

These services will not be simply focused on Apple devices; they’d consist of new health services that Apple has been working on for quite some time.

“I believe, if you zoom out into the future, and you look back, and you ask the question, “What was Apple’s greatest contribution to mankind?” it will be about health,” he said.

Recently, we have witnessed that Apple is giving priority to its health services provided in its devices. For instance, the Apple Watch Series 4, which comes with an ECG (electrocardiogram) test, analyses the heart rhythm and look for irregularities. Meanwhile, the iPhone’s Health app was also updated in the latest iOS 12.2 version.

It’s worth noting that Google is also working on bringing the AI technology to the health clinics and hospitals.

“You will see us announce new services this year. There will more things coming,” said Tim Cook during the interview. You can watch the full interview here.
