Xiaomi Mi A3 Android One Smartphone Under Development, MIUI 10 Code Hints

Xiaomi is now expected to unveil the third installment in its Android One smartphone series, dubbed the Mi A3 for which leaks and rumors have begun lining up.

As per a report by XDA Developers, while looking into the MIUI 10 firmware based on Android 9.0 Pie, a new smartphone was spotted with the codename Orchid_Sprout.

Even though the firmware doesn’t hint at the alleged Mi A3 smartphone, with the predecessors coming with the same ‘_Sprout’ suffix, it is safe to presume that the smartphone is another member in the Android One series.

There is little known about the specs and other features of the purported smartphone. But it is speculated that the alleged Mi 3 could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor and come with support for NFC.

If at all the purported Mi 3 comes with NFC support, it will indeed be the first Xiaomi Android One smartphone to be launched with the ability.

For those who don’t know, Xiaomi kicked off Android One smartphone series with the Mi A1, following which the Mi A2 and the Mi A2 Lite came into being.

All the three smartphones fall in the mid-segment and support stock Android version for faster software updates.

As a reminder, there is nothing factual available, and we need to wait until any official information is available. So, stay tuned for more details!
