Xiaomi Mi Play With MediaTek Helio P35 SoC Unveiled In China

As speculated earlier, Xiaomi has finally made the new Mi Play in its Play series official in China.

The main highlight of the Xiaomi Mi Play is the octa-core 12nm MediaTek P35 processor it is powered by.

Another highlight is the 5.84-inch display which sports a water drop notch at the top. The display has a Full HD+ screen resolution and is covered by a 2.5D curved glass.

The camera department is the third highlight which supports two cameras at the back (12-megapixel and 2-megapixel) with PDAF, LED flash and EIS. The front snapper is rated at 8-megapixel. Additionally, all the cameras support AI-based features.


The Xiaomi Play comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a memory card.


The smartphone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and runs MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi Play comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and comes in Black, Dream Blue, and Twilight Gold color options.

The Xiaomi Mi Play is priced at CNY 1,099 and is now available for orders in China. Additionally, the Mi Play comes with free 10GB/per month internet for 12 months in the country.
