Microsoft has expressed its belief in the past that quantum computing could change our tech industry forever. The company has already started contributing its share in the development.
Last, Microsoft launched its quantum programming language called Q#. Now, it’s again in the news with the new open source project called Quantum Katas designed to “teach you elements of quantum computing and Q# computing.”
Quantum Katas comprises of several projects, each called a Kata. These include basic quantum computing gates, superposition, Measurements, and Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm.
According to Microsoft, each kata is a separate project offering a sequence of tasks about a certain quantum computing topic. Obviously, there is coding in the picture, ranging from just a single line to a sizable fragment of code. There is a testing framework that provides real-time feedback.
The details about the self-paced tutorial are available on its GitHub repo from where you can get all the required stuff to get started. It requires to have the Quantum Development Kit installed on your Windows 10, Linux, or macOS machine.
