Xiaomi’s 100W Super Charge Turbo Fully Charges Smartphone In 17 Mins

As we ran out of patience, our smartphones had to go fast, and hence we saw the introduction of fast charging. As hinted by a new teaser, Xiaomi is also expected to debut in the league of various tech companies launching their fast charging tech.

According to a teaser video posted on Weibo by Xiaomi CEO Lin Bin, Xiaomi’s fast charging tech will be christened Super Charge Turbo and will come with support for 100W power output, which is double the output offered by OPPO’s Super VOOC fast charging.

The teaser video compares Xiaomi’s Super Charge Turbo (100W) with OPPO’s Super VOOC (50W). While the former can charge the smartphone fully in just 17 minutes, the latter can reach 65% only.

Therefore, Xiaomi’s fast charging tech is touted to achieve a 100% charge in just 17 minutes.

It is worth noting that Xiaomi’s fast charging was tested on a smartphone with a 4,000mAh battery capacity while the OPPO smartphone had a 3,700mAh battery.

Hence, we can expect that the Super Charge Turbo technology by Xiaomi is powerful enough and can be a life savior.

To recall, Xiaomi chargers currently offer up to 27W power output, and the tech can prove to be a great leap for the company.

Additionally, the ability is much higher than to-be-public Huawei’s Super Charge which offers an output of 55W, announced alongside the Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone.

Xiaomi is expected to make its Super Charge Turbo tech official today and is expected to add it to the future Xiaomi smartphones.
