In the world of torrent downloading, you must understand one thing that there always will be more “Leechers” than “Seeders”. Telling about myself I always try to seed as much as I can, thanks to the unlimited net connection in my college.

Anyways, you know that there are tonnes of torrent sites you can find online. I took a quite bit of time and I did my homework and research before preparing a list of the the best torrent sites. If you are a torrent freak than you must be knowing almost all the sites that I have listed below. Here it goes :
The Pirate Bay :
Pirate Bay is one of the most visited torrent site online. With over 50,000,000 – estimated unique monthly visitors and a Alexa ranking of 89, it remains one of the best site to download torrent. Having a simple homepage similar to that of Google homepage , it claims to have over a million torrents on their site. In 2009, the website’s founders were found guilty in Sweden for “assisting in making copyright content available”. The servers were shutdown initially, but they have continued to stay ahead of the authorities constantly changing their servers.

KickAss Torrents :
I don’t want to be biased but KickAss has a special place in my heart. It is the first site that I think of while I need to find a torrent. Having over 30,000,000 estimated unique monthly visitors and a Alexa ranking of 87, it is a growing community. It has a nice user friendly interface showing you the popular searched keywords at the header of the page, different popular torrents in different categories. The best part of Kick Ass Torrents is their comment and feedback system, you can know about the torrent before you have downloaded it by reading the comments like whether it’s fake or not, or whether it will get stuck at some point etc. The site also has its own forum where you can request torrents, discuss issues, interact with the other users etc.
Torrentz.com :
It is not like the above sites, in fact it’s a meta search engine of torrents. It has a simple and minimal front page from where user can search for torrents. It then results out the list of popular torrent sites having the indexed keyword. You can choose from the long list of results and it will redirect you to the respective site download page. If you can’t find a torrent then simply go here and I bet you will not regret it.

Yify–Torrent :
This torrent site is loved by movie watchers as it only contains movie torrents. It has the best collection of movie torrents in 720p , 1080p and 3d. It is the fastest site online to give out latest movie torrents as soon as the Blu-ray print of a movie is out. I am warning you it’s illegal to download copyright stuff. Don’t blame me if you get caught up ; )
Extra Torrent :
The biggest Bittorrent system as they call themselves, Extra Torrent remains the 5th most visited site and a Alexa rank of 359. The site is very busy and is known for its movie and music torrent database. At the left hand side there are movie thumbnails that will help you to find the latest movie according to their quality. The site is filled with information of each torrent file and has a great browsing friendly interface.
Update: The Pirate Bay was recently scrapped on Dec 9 following a raid by Swedish authorities. So there is an update in the list of Top 15 Torrent Sites of 2014.
